Dear Player When questioned about the issue of FIELD PAINT ONLY as required at our field, I like to take the time to point out a few things to ponder. As the only Paintball Field in the country to offer 24 different playing fields (Including 32,000 Sq. Foot CASTLE, Smaller CASTLE, a FIVE ACRE TOWN with 1 & 2 STORY BUILDINGS, a FIREBASE, a STILT VILLAGE, a LARGE STOCKADE FORT & WESTERN THEME FIELD complete with a MINER’S CAMP and TRAPPER’S CAMP, an AIRFIELD, a HALO BASE, 4 SPEEDBALL COURTS, 2 LIGHTED FIELDS for NIGHT PLAY, plus 12 other fields full of trenches, earth berms, bunkers, tunnels, bridges, and assorted buildings), FREE LODGING in 34 BUNKHOUSES, FREE CAMPING, a FULL REC CENTER (POOL TABLE, PING PONG, FOOSBALL, FOOD, BEVERAGES, LIVE BANDS), BON FIRE AREA, PICNIC PAVILLION with FREE GRILL, SWIMMING POND, FISHING POND, HORSE SHOES, VOLLEYBALL, PROFESSIONAL REF SQUADS, and only high quality paintballs as field paint; I would like you to consider the following partial list of expenses that are involved in providing this top notch facility for your paintball enjoyment. 1) Cost of paying for 122 acres of Land 2) Cost of paying taxes on 122 acres of land. 3) Cost of maintaining roads on 122 acres of land. 4) Clearing briars, fallen logs and trees, trash, etc. on 122 acres of land. 5) Repairing and Maintaining over 50 buildings; painting, broken boards, electrical, plumbing, etc. 6) Building and erecting new structures; buildings, bunkers, walls, etc. 7) Paying for 15 Sani-pots every month. 8) Utilities: Propane, Electricity, Dumpster, Oil. 9) Buying and Maintaining 3 work Trucks, Case Tractor, Ford Tractor, Brush Hog, Toro Groundsmaster. 10) Buying and Maintaining Mowers, Weedwackers, Chain Saws, Tools, Hoses, Ladders, etc. 11) Gas and Oil for above vehicles and tools. 12) Buying and Maintaining two Large Air Compressors, Mobile Air Compressors, 18 high pressure fill stations, and 20 bottle fill set up. 13) Buying and Maintaining 6 CO2 Fill Stations and Scales. 14) Buying and installing New 12' Safety Netting every three years. Cost of 6” x 6” x 12’ Poles for netting. 15) Buying and Maintaining Rental Guns, Masks, Parts, Camos, Tanks, etc. 16) Buying and Maintaining Microwaves, Commercial Freezer, Commercial Refrigerator. 17) Buying a 3-line Phone System and paying Phone Bills. 18) Buying and Maintaining Office Equipment; Computers, Printers, Fax Machine, Copier, Typewriter, Laminating Machine, Desks, Chairs, Storage Cabinets, etc. 19) Training Safety Certified Referees and providing them with Backpacks, Ref Shirts, Whistles, First Aid Kits, 24 Hand Held Chronos, 12 Radar Chronos, Squeegees, Lens Cleaner, Water Bottles, Paper Towels, etc. 20) Hiring Professional Ref Squads for all Big Games and Scenario Games. 21) Advertising: Flyers, Brochures, Web Page, Ads in Magazines, Ads in Newspapers, and Marketing Team. 22) Employing a full time Operations Manager, Field Manager, Head Referee, and Myself. 23) Employing up to 50 part time employees to run the large events. 24) Paying for Liability Insurance. 25) Paying for Fire and Damage Insurance on the 50 buildings. I trust that the above listing will enlighten you to some of the actual costs of running a facility of the size and quality of E.M.R. PAINTBALL PARK and explain the necessity of allowing Field Paint Only. Without making Profit on Paintballs, we could not keep the doors open for your enjoyment. At $75.47 plus PA sales tax of $4.53 per Case of 2000 paintballs for Cash Sales and the offering of bulk discounts, I assure you that if you check at any other facility that offers anything close to the quality and variety of playing fields and options, you will find that our prices are much more than fair.
