MARCH MELTDOWN
“SHATTERED UNION: ENDLESS MOUNTAIN RESISTANCE” Scenario
March 24/25, 2018

Kick off your Paintball Season on March 25th with a 7 Hour Scenario Game on Saturday, “SHATTERED UNION”, produced by Brandon Decker of Smokey Scenario Productions . The game will include missions, props to collect, and Flag Stations to hold for points. On Sunday, there will be Various Open Play Games on Different Fields.

In 2017, North Korea is destroyed during a brief nuclear exchange with the United States and its allies. For weeks following the “Thursday War”, civil unrest grips almost every major US city, angry with the use of nuclear weapons. In January of 2018, the US is turned on its head when North Korean sleeper agents detonate suitcase nukes in four major US Cities, decapitating the Federal government. Chaos follows as the Fed’s try to reform the government in Boston with the former Secretary of Health and Human Services sworn into office.
A state of National Emergency is declared and the Department of Homeland Security is granted sweeping new powers. The HOMELAND CORPS is established as a national police force under DHS. They are sent to restore orders in the major cities; engaging in fierce urban combat against “Criminal Elements”. FEMA is called in to set up detention camps for the criminals caught by the Homeland Corps, and refugee camps for the civilian population.
In late summer, the economy nearly collapses from a triple-dip recession. The Dept. of Treasury demonetizes all cash and institutes a “Federal Credit” as the new legal tender. The only way to obtain the card for the electronic currency is through a FEMA camp or through a “pacified zone”. In September, to combat “fake news”, the FCC revokes the licenses for all but a few media companies, the ones that remain on the air tending to be seen as state-run or heavily slanted towards the Federal Government.
By October, the acting President suspends the US Constitution. On the same day, the new congress ratifies the “Homeland Charter”, a document that strips away several constitutional rights while asserting the Governments right to administer the lands. Many who oppose this move begin to refer to the government as “Federales” or “The Regime”.
For many, the Homeland Charter is the final straw. The governors of Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania reject the Homeland Charter and form a “Constitutional Bloc”. Some states, like Vermont, Virginia, and Texas declare their independence. A large group of southern states secede and establish the “Southern Federation” while other states attempt to form autonomous regions within the former United States.
Acting swiftly, Homeland Corps units and military assets loyal to the Regime are deployed to the Constitutional Bloc and over-run the Guard units before arresting the governors. To bolster the Homeland Corps, a Private Contracting Firm called Ravenwood is brought in and deputized. They are tasked with the day to day administration of the pacified areas. They are corrupt as the day is long, using heavy handed tactics and terror to get the population to submit.
In the mountains of eastern Pennsylvania; former Guardsmen and patriots come together to establish a militia group. They call themselves the Endless Mountain Resistance. Their goal is to attack Regime forces on the I-81 corridor between Binghamton and Scranton. Following an ambush on a Homeland Corps convoy, the regional administrator declares the area to be an Open Insurrection.
